Der neue Schauplatz, frische Charaktere und eine tiefere Hintergrundgeschichte machen es auch Neueinsteigern leicht, sich im SATAN’S SLAVES-Universum zurechtzufinden und sich in den finsteren Bildkompositionen zu verlieren. Anwar legt in Sachen makabrem Gothic-Flair, fiesen Jump Scares und grauenvollen Todesfällen ordentlich drauf. Tatsächlich überholte COMMUNION den ersten Teil am lokalen Box Office und rangiert auf Platz drei der erfolgreichsten indonesischen Filme aller Zeiten.
