It’s the early 22nd century: the crew of the medical rescue vessel Nightingale 229 has recently departed for a routine patrol in deep space. On the lonely ship it’s business as usual for Captain Marley (Robert Forster), co-pilot Vanzant (James Spader), and chief medical officer Evers (Angela Bassett). The crew has no idea that an alien artifact has been mined out of a rogue moon millions of light years away.

However, once the emergency distress signal finds them, they have no choice. Dimension-jumping through space, the ship arrives in the center of a massive celestial storm. When crew members start turning up dead, the survivors must unravel their refugee’s secret and escape to their home galaxy before the giant star goes SUPERNOVA.
